A foreword in one of Richard Carlson’s books described his series as a phenomenon, "reminding us with simple brilliance of what it takes to rise to our best and what we need to do to enjoy a life beautifully lived.” I believe this is what I am here to do - to help people do...“To live a rich life and have a large impact; To help create a world where we are happier, healthier, braver, and kinder.“

A quick sign you aren't living in alignment

There have been many instances in life where I have taken longer to do things. Like writing an email back to someone, pondering creating a blog, or going back and forth on a purchase. Like most people and for most of my life I had put it down to my indecisiveness, procrastination or some internal fear. But the other day got me thinking, are these perhaps the signs that we are living out of alignment? Could it be, that if we were all living a soul-led life, we wouldn't spend so much time, energy, and attention on things that need further conviction for us to actually do?

Recently I created a personal rule that if any decision didn't feel 100% it was a no. I would move on. Pretty much all of the times, I have never looked back.

The other day I finished an interview with a lady who I had a great conversation with. We spoke for over an hour on her business, her vision, and she presented some of her challenges. I felt excited with her on how she wanted to grow the company and that I could play an important part in it. It seemed like a great fit. Later that day however, I hadn't reached out to follow up. Nor the next day, or the next. Eventually it was a whole week since our interaction. Something was off.

This was a subtle sign from my heart that this wasn't the right move, and my mind was trying to convince me otherwise. Luckily I have practiced being in touch with my intuition long enough to recognise what I needed to do.

Unfortunately most people spend their days making decisions from their heads that they fail to recognise the signs that they are living out of alignment. Time-stress, feeling lost, and doubt are all clear signs that there is something deeper to address, but society has us thinking that these are just 'symptoms' of a successful life that we need learn how to control.

I am believing more and more that the key to living a peaceful and joyful life is to become a master of your intuition. Your soul already knows what it wants. We need to create the practices every day that help us stay in tune with its direction - when we need to say No to things in order for something aligning to show up.

I continue to notice these things in my every day life and it is fascinating how something more or better turns up when I say No to what doesn't align.

Like meditation, alignment is a practice. It feels like nothing is happening at first, but eventually we find ourselves feeling more joy and making easier decisions.

My hope for you is that you find a meditative practice that helps you develop a strong relationship with your intuitive guidance. All you need is within you, and you can have the courage to find it.

Much love,
Jules
