A foreword in one of Richard Carlson’s books described his series as a phenomenon, "reminding us with simple brilliance of what it takes to rise to our best and what we need to do to enjoy a life beautifully lived.” I believe this is what I am here to do - to help people do...“To live a rich life and have a large impact; To help create a world where we are happier, healthier, braver, and kinder.“

Your Body is Your Best Teacher

Once upon a time I didn't have my period for almost 2 years. I attribute it to the travelling I was doing - For months I was sleeping in different beds every 1-3 days, taking overnight trains/busses, eating at odd hours and eating foods my body wasn't familiar with.
When I returned home I had lost so much weight they told me I couldn't donate blood, I was underweight and anaemic. Which is crazy because less than a year before I was 63kg and 'bulky'.
Eventually I moved to Canada to work (2018), started to put my weight back on and started dating someone. Still no period, but hell I was happy to not have to worry about it!
But mum was concerned and said to get it checked out...
I'm not sure what kind of medicine the doctor I saw believed in.. but she asked about my life and how I was settling in in Canada. Her prescription was this: 'Give yourself some time to settle in and enjoy life.'
3 weeks later, I had my period.

Our bodies are one of our very best teachers, and will let us know if something is out of alignment.
We get sore, we get sick, build intolerances/allergies, and have unexplained pains... It's easy to reach for a man-made solution but almost all the time it's just our bodies way of communicating without words.
Everything is energy.
I didn't know about this stuff back then, so my period coming back didn't really spring back to me as a lesson in energy. But if I look at my life now with this filter, it was a matter of transforming stress into free-of-stress.
We always feel better when there are happy people around us; people who practice love and laughter; people who give and see opportunity. It's a simple solution to feeling more at ease.

I was having the time of my life backpacking, but my body was in stress-mode the whole time. Poor sleep, poor diet, and a constantly-changing physical environment.

When you feel ailment in your body, do your best to understand it as energy. Something isn't sitting right with you in your life, it's time to change it. A pill will do as much as to mask the energy and convince your body that you're better.
Time for stress-free :)
Love, Jules
